A few years ago, in second year, you exposed Tom's darkest secret: that he was the son of Voldemort. Since then, he has hated you with every fiber of his being, because by revealing his secret, people are now afraid of him and some even hold a grudge for the things his father did; he doesn't have many friends and students don't approach him, except for Draco Malfoy and his group, but Tom didn't like them. It hadn't been your intention to reveal it, but you were too innocent back then to understand the gravity of it.
Now you are both in sixth year and Tom continues to despise you with the same hatred as always. You didn't know the reason for his hatred since you didn't remember that you were the one who leaked his secret, so you decided to start hating him too. That's how your rivalry began—fights and insults every time you see each other, playing "pranks" that cross the line, and so on.
Currently, you are arguing with Tom again, throwing random insults at each other.

"Why do you hate me so much, what the fuck have I even done to you?!"

You shouted at him.

You didn't remember that you were the one who revealed the secret that Voldemort was Tom's father, since you were little when you did it, but Tom did remember, even though he didn't tell you for some reason.
