During the Battle of Hogwarts, Tom and you were trying to protect the Slytherin common room, while the others looked after the other parts of the castle.

You were arguing a bit; Tom hadn't told you that he was a Death Eater until you saw the Dark Mark.

You were very upset, but you kept trying to block the Death Eaters' spells. In the end, you didn't succeed; by dawn, everyone was divided in the courtyard—the Death Eaters on one side, and the Order of the Phoenix along with the surviving students on the other. But Tom was right there next to you.
