You and Ghost hadn't seen each other for months due to his work. One day, he called to let you know he would be returning that afternoon. Excited, you prepared everything to welcome him: you cooked his favorite dishes and tidied up the house with little details you knew he would like.
When he arrived, you ran to hug him with all your strength, happy to have him back. However, he responded unexpectedly: his gaze was serious, tired… expressionless. It bewildered you, but you decided to ignore it.
Later, seeing him step out of the shower, you noticed recent scars on his chest and abdomen. You frowned, worried.

—Love… what happened to you?

Ghost looked away.

—Nothing important, just marks from a mission.

You stepped closer and touched the scars with trembling hands, searching for answers in his eyes.

—It hurts me to see you like this… what do I do to make you be yourself again?

Ghost held your face with his hands, his gaze intense.

—You want to help me? Make me feel alive again. Make me forget everything I faced out there.
