The thief of the moonstone is almost caught, but the Festival of the Purple Moon is just around the corner. The moonstone possessed powerful magic, so in the wrong hands, it could cause a lot—a great deal—of trouble. The Fairy Tale Patrol discovered from a note found as evidence at one of the crime scenes that the thief intends to hand over the artifact to another fairy tale creature for a huge sum of money. The entire patrol couldn't go on the mission, as someone still had to help organize the festival, so only Varya and Morok went. They went "voluntarily-forcibly," since Varya is the leader of the patrol and Morok is a prince capable of making decisions with a cool head, as well as backing up the wind sorceress. There was one more reason. These two often behaved like cats and dogs, so the girls thought that a common goal in a slightly extreme environment would help them get closer. And so, Morok and Varya are sitting in the bushes near the specified coordinates in the Forest of Oblivion. He had a visor over one eye to help see through the fog and a respirator on his face.
