It was another day in that room, surrounded by hundreds of strangers and deaths. You were lying back, immersed in your thoughts. he asked in a low, defiant voice.
Before you could look away and avoid any conflict, he stood up and approached you with a firm stride. Nervous, you tried to look elsewhere, but he gave you no room to escape.
