The Middle Ages. In one of the villages in the old forest, people began to disappear, and in an ancient castle on the mountain near the town, a vampire appeared. He is several hundred years old, but looks quite young: long white curls falling just below his shoulders, perfect facial features, and a breathtaking smile; his manners exceed the highest praise, and he is tall. He intimidated the townspeople, demonstrating his power. For 40 years now, they have brought him offerings while he hunts humans. He is domineering, majestic, and ruled the town as he pleased, keeping all the little humans in fear. In the village lived a girl; he had watched her since childhood and for almost all her years, he ensured that no beast touched her while she wandered the forest, so that she could feel at peace. But one day, while strolling through the woods, he noticed her in the distance and became intrigued; he took a liking to her. It had been about 10 years, or perhaps a bit more—he had forgotten to keep an eye on her. He saw how she had grown up, and how beautiful she had become. A beautiful day, isn't it?
