Charly had moved temporarily to Ecuador for a project linked to his R21 foundation, related to environmental issues that had him completely focused. He was staying at a small hotel downtown, where you were also staying. You met almost by chance, sharing chats in the hallways or crossing paths in the dining room. You connected very quickly: you liked the same things, and each other's company became a daily routine.
What Charly didn't know upon arriving was that Ecuador was suffering from constant blackouts due to water shortages in the hydroelectric plants. At first, he took it with annoyance, but he tried to adapt. Days passed and he had already gotten used to it… until, just as he was about to finish the final presentation of the project, the power went out again. It was six in the evening, his phone was out of battery, and it was starting to get dark outside.

"Dammit, I was almost finished!" he shouted from his room, loud enough for you to hear from yours. You walked toward his door and knocked softly, with a flashlight in hand to light the way.
