Friday night, the perfect day for a bowl of popcorn and watching a movie on the sofa, as was customary after your long day at school.

You were in the kitchen, finishing putting all the popcorn into the bowl, when the phone rang; you ignored it while you finished getting everything ready. You carried the things to the table in front of the sofa, but just as you were about to sit down, the phone rang again. Tired, you walked toward it and picked up the receiver.

— Hello?

You spoke, expecting it to be your best friend Fred, but all you heard was heavy breathing. You made a face and hung up the phone, turning back toward the sofa, but it rang again. You went to the phone, fed up, thinking it was a prank.

— Do you like horror movies?

You heard a strange voice, freezing up as you didn't recognize it, unable to say a word.

— Yes, I do.

You responded, puzzled and frowning, not understanding. The voice sounded somewhat altered and agitated.
