In his human form, Jim is about 5 feet 6 inches tall[3] with a slim build. By his own admission[4] and Krel,[5] he has skinny legs. He has blue eyes and short black hair. After regaining his human form at the end of Wizards, Jim now has two scars on his face, one on his left cheek (originating from his fight during Angor Rot and Gunmar) and one over his right eyebrow (which was the result of AAARRRGGHH!!! trying to subdue him in his corrupted beast form). He later loses his scars after the end of the Trollhunters movie.

Unarmored, Jim wears a blue zip-up jacket with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows and a white shirt underneath. He has blue jeans with a black belt and high-top blue and white sneakers. While hunting down Skrael's titan in Greenland, he wears a heavy blue/indigo jacket with a hood.

While using the Amulet of Daylight, Jim's armor was a silver suit of knight's armor, complete with a breastplate (the chest area), pauldrons (the shoulder areas), vambraces (the forearm areas), gauntlets (the hand areas), cuisses (the thigh areas), poleyns (the knee areas), greaves (the leg areas), and sabatons (the feet areas), and the amulet in the middle of Jim's heart with blue trimmings. Underneath the armor, there was a black inner layer.

While wielding the Eclipse Blade, this armor was black with red trimmings. Both armors had their respective amulets mounted on the left side of the breastplates, and occasionally their swords (Daylight and Eclipse) were stowed on the backs of the armors.

At the start of the series, Jim was shown being the caretaker around the house, cooking meals for himself and his mother, Barbara Lake. Despite it being Barbara's job to take care of him, he likes taking care of her because of how much work she does as a doctor. He is also shown to have a reputation for being an all-around cool guy, though it is implied that this is just to get people to like him.

Jim can get nervous often and also get overprotective of his loved ones.

Claire has been described as a very cute, pretty and rather attractive young lady, even by Merlin himself.
She is medium height with a slim build. She is a Latina girl with darker white skin, with a gold tone, and light freckles across the tops of her cheeks and bridge of her nose (Fitzpatrick Scale Type 3).[2][3] She has dark brown eyes and black to very dark brunette hair in a chignon (depending on the light), and used to have a blue streak, which after being corrupted by the Shadow Staff changed to white. In Wizards, Claire's white streak completely covers her entire bang and now wears her hair in a low bun. It is eventually revealed in Rise of the Titans that Claire is approximately 5' 5" (or 165cm), about an inch shorter than Jim.She wears a light purple turtleneck shirt with a darker pink skull and the word "HAMLET" under a short dark purple jacket, a short blue skirt, gray leggings with black low heel booties and a lot of colorful barrettes in her hair. She got rid of her barrettes by the time of Wizards.
When using an intense and uncontrolled amount of power of her shadow magic, her eyes turn pitch black with only her irises and pupils shining in some dark purple color. However, when her shadow magic is under control, her iris's turn a shade of purple. Under Morgana's control, her eyes are a pitch black with a yellow center.
In the episode "In Good Hands," Merlin crafts her her own suit of armor, which fits her more slim physique. Claire's armor is a purple suit of woman knight's armor, complete with a breastplate (the chest area), pauldrons (the shoulder areas), vambraces (the forearm areas), cuisses (the thigh areas), poleyns (the knee areas), greaves (the leg areas), and sabatons (the feet areas) with purple trimmings. Underneath the armor, there is dark purple inner layer. On her hands are purple claw finger ring.Claire started to prove to be a worthy ally and very insightful with weapons and troll culture. She is also shown to have a motherly side.

Toby is a short (approximately 5 feet 0 inches[2]), chubby boy with orange-red brown hair and green eyes.

He wears a red diamond-patterned sweater vest over a yellow and orange button-up shirt, brown pants, and white shoes. For all of the series, he wears braces.

In his homemade armor, he wears a stove pot on his head like a helmet and has a flashlight taped to the side. He carries a blue locker door as his shield, a metal tin-can on his right wrist, and a lunchtray strapped to his belly with his phone taped to it. He also has two spatulas twisted around his legs like greaves.

In the episode "In Good Hands", Merlin creates a real suit of armor from Jim's Vespa for Toby, which fits his fat physique. Toby's armor is an orange suit of industrial-like knight's armor, complete with a breastplate (the chest area), pauldrons (the shoulder areas), vambraces (the forearm areas), gauntlets (the hand areas), tassets (the hanging bands that protect the thigh areas), greaves (the leg areas), and sabatons (the feet areas) with orange trimmings. Underneath the armor, there is dark orange inner layer. His helmet even has a built-in flashlight (which could most likely be the headlight from Jim's Vespa).loyalty, boundless optimism, and a well-timed sense of humor than his best friend, Toby? Through all the good times and the bad, Toby is the best friend that Jim can count on to be by his side. Always the optimist and brimming with confidence, Toby will never let the odds get him down. With tacos in tow, For the most part, Toby is a happy-go-lucky, cheerful guy who is always there for his friends when they need either a laugh or moral support. Following from that, one of Toby's greatest quality is his loyalty to Jim, being there for the latter when he was first introduced into the world of Trolls to fighting side-by-side whenever threats arise.
Despite his more cheerful nature, Toby is a bit emotional, dramatic, and somewhat of an attention seeker.

In his Akiridion form, Krel has electric blue skin, light-blue hair that spikes up, blue eyes with black sclera, and four arms of a royal. He also has a ridge on his forehead which marks him as king-in-waiting, which he received during his coronation in "Terra Incognita Part One". He seems to have inherited his mother's facial features as he appears to resemble her more than his father.

He wears a black and blue jumpsuit with neon blue linings.

In his human form, Krel is a Latino with dark, tanned skin, brown eyes, and long fluffy dark brown hair.
His usual outfit consists of a blue t-shirt with a light-blue squiggle, navy blue sweatpants, white sneakers, green socks and a watch on his left wrist.Unlike his older sister, Krel appears to be more stoic and introverted, often making snarky comments to his sister and everyone around him. He does not really seem to have much of an interest in a lot of things and has a large ego. Despite this, he appears to be an excellent disc jockey and loves to dance, and he is also quick-witted and curious about Earth. Krel often criticizes Earth's more primitive technologies, as they don't match his own and has a bit of a low opinion of humans in general. He frequently gloats about his superior intellect, as he is a super-genius, even past normal Akiridion standards. He's also shown impatience and frustration when people are clueless about a Daxial Array, as they mistake it as a band (though it's because humans don't have advanced alien technology). Because of his self-centered-like mind, he does not really earn people's respect or friendship.

In spite of his haughtiness, vanity, arrogance, insufferable attitude, and being somewhat ill-mannered, Krel seems to be a very compassionate and decent guy, as he begrudgingly agreed to venture with Eli to find the Billycraggle, despite his dislike of the outdoors and skepticism to Eli's conspiracies. He also willingly throws off the math.

Aja, both in human and Akiridion form, stands at a tall height (reaching the stature 6'8 in Akiridion, and slightly shrinking to 5'8 in human form.)

In her Akiridion form, Aja's physical features consist of a narrow chin, a slim body that includes a lean waist, slim and slender arms and legs, and nubs for feet. With long choppy hair falling over her shoulders and cascading to her mid-back. Along with sporting no bangs.

Aja's hair is shaded an electric blue, and her eyes have black sclera and pupils with a circle-ring around the iris that are both shaded a glowing electric blue hue and her is skin colored a bright blue tint.

Like every Akiridion Aja dons a royal and navy blue high-neck jumpsuit that suit blue trimmings across the cloth. Finished with tall navy blue boots that etch on the tips, body, and soles.

Due to her royal heritage, Aja possesses four arms and the marking on the ridge of her forehead that crowns her as a royal, earning this symbol on the second episode.
In her human form, Aja had platinum blonde hair usually styled in a bun and light blue-gray eyes. She wears a red checker shirt, blue pants, and red and white high-top shoes.
ired of growing up and living the life of a princess, Aja felt like she didn't belong in the royal palace, frequently sneaking outside to experience the lives of commoners though she needed to wear a disguise to avoid attention. Even when it was her own coronation day, she decided to run away again with Luug, not wanting to be queen-in-waiting either.

However, when General Morando led a coup to overthrow her and family, Aja immediately feels guilty, and blames herself for putting her parents in stasis and her own planet in danger. Desperate to set things right, she decides to follow the path of a warrior so she can protect her family and take back Akiridion-5 from the evil, tyrannical hands of Morando, ignoring the belief that princesses aren't born to be warriors.

Aja seems to be more extroverted than his brother.

AAARRRGGHH!!! is a very large Krubera troll with rock-like gray skin, green eyes, and a dark green beard and hair on his shoulders, back and chest. He has four short horns and a large black nose, a small tail, and engravings on his arms, knees, waist and chest.
When AAARRRGGHH!!! is overcome with anger or he is in an uncontrollable rage, the engravings on his skin light up with a green glow, similar to the Krubera's blue, and his eyes turn completely black with glowing green pupils.

Back when he was the general of Gunmar's Horde, AAARRRGGHH!!! had six horns in two rows that were more sharp and pointy, wore a few pieces of Gumm-Gumm armor on his shoulders and arms, a leather covering around his waist, white war paint on his face, a nose ring, and his eyes were constantly glowing green.
AAARRRGGHH!!! is a fun-loving, loyal, friendly, and gentle giant, who has a tragic history from childhood. When he was taken by the Gumm-Gumms at a tender age, his speech was permanently impaired and doesn't speak as elegantly as the other Krubera trolls. He sometimes does not understand big words and often gets confused by Blinky's large vocabulary.

In the past, AAARRRGGHH!!! was once a violent Gumm-Gumm, raised to eat innocent humans and was the general of Gunmar's army and was a close friend of Gunmar's. However, after he was captured for terrorizing the Dwoza trolls and eventually bonds with Blinky, he feared that Gunmar would kill him because of his failures and appreciated Blinky's hospitality. As such, he renounced his flesh-eating ways and became more gentle and friendly, even making an oath to never kill anyone, becoming a pacifist.
There are times when AAARRRGGHH!!!'s rage happens unexpectedly, like when Toby plays a violent video game which scares AAARRRGGHH!!! into his Gumm-Gumm episode. After becoming Toby's bodyguard, AAARRRGGHH!!! was reluctant, due to his aggressive history, yet Toby assures him that he has nothing to be ashamed of and instead plays more friendly game

Blinky is a greenish-blue Troll with four arms, blue hair, and a set of short horns on the back of his head. He has three brown eyes on either side of his long orange nose, and patterns on his chin, arms, and chest. In Wizards, after he was ambushed by the Green Knight in New Jersey, Blinky was badly injured with various bruises/scratches all over him, a few black eyes, and he even had to wear a sling for his broken left upper arm. In Rise of the Titans, his injuries have healed, yet his stone skin is covered in visible scars.
He wears brown shorts with suspenders and satchels.
Blinky is a scholarly troll, well versed in troll lore, history, and magic, and can be quite eccentric. He strives to be a good mentor and friend and has a keen interest in learning something new. He has a warm and strong regard to those he cares for and does all he can to aid them, and this is especially so when he became a mentor to Jim Lake Jr., the first human to ever wear the mantle and responsibility of the Trollhunter.

He can come off occasionally as pompous due to his intellectual mindset, and can sometimes make absent-minded mistakes, but always means well. During his time as a human, Blinky was easily amazed by the "wonders" of the human world during the day, though his constant curiosity often made him look weird. He even admits that he's come to better understand humans during his time as a human himself, like love.

Otherwise, Blinky is wiser than he seems, able to inspire Jim not only to embrace his new role as the Trollhunter but to use that same inspiration to land the part of Romeo in his school play. He is evidently more open-minded than most trolls as he believed that Jim (a human) could (and did) become a worthy Trollhunter, despite the many twists and turns their journey together took.

In the past, however, unlike his more strategic and respectful present day self, he was arrogant, cowardly, and not nearly as wise and fatherly as he is today.

Skrael was a demigod with the build of a young teenager. He had glittery, pale light-blue skin and pale blue eyes with black sclera and white eyelashes. There were small, transparent horns on either side of his forehead that stuck out asymmetrically; he was bald with no eyebrows and had tattoos on the back of his head and neck. He was short, hardly reaching to Bellroc's shoulders, with a small torso and long legs. His fingertips and toe-tips were frostbitten black. There were black lines tattooed around his ankles, wrists, and fingertips, as well as a black line running from the underside of his lip to his chin. After awakening the ice titan, Skrael's eyes glowed icy blue.

Skrael wore a black, hooded cloak that loosely covered his entire body; it was old and frayed with torn ribbons of cloth making up the hem. The skull of a long-horned animal was worn over his hooded head. Brown leather lacing was wound over the horns, which stretched out horizontally with bone that twisted upwards at both ends. He wore a dark, teal-gray tunic underneath the cloak; the tunic was styled with a wide neckline that stretches from shoulder to shoulder and wide, loose sleeves. Its hem started mid-thigh and met above his knees in a V-shape. Both the sleeve and hem trim were made from white thread; a simple snowflake design was also embroidered across the upper front and back of the tunic. A black sash was layered around his waist and he wore plain black underwear.
Skrael was barefoot and mostly levitated above the ground. He always carried his staff unless it was knocked away from him. Skrael was an unforgiving, ruthless, and delusional individual who, millennia ago, came to believe that humanity was beyond correction, and therefore saw them as corrupt. Like the other members of the Arcane Order, Skrael was heavily dedicated to doing anything to bring back the balance between magic and mortality, but he and Bellroc had a twisted version of the balance where magic would become dominant.

Bellroc was an androgynous being, with a shifting voice sounding at times male and female. They were tall in height with ash-grey skin, short red hair with bangs with a long, thick bang tail that is tied with of a golden ornament/accessory, reddish yellow eyes with a black eyeliner and tattoos on their face resembling traditional Inuit tattoos. They seemingly had strongly built thighs, their cheekbones being well-shaped. Despite having a strong build, their arms and waist were slim. After Callista blinded Bellroc's main eyes during the Battle of Killahead Bridge, they wore a black blindfold with red linings. After awakening the Fire Titan, Bellroc’s eyes glowed bright orange.

Bellroc wore a large cape of black feathers, with red wooden pauldrons on each shoulder, which included eyes of yellow sclera with a blue circle and red iris, those eyeballs included eyeliners. The eyes on the pauldrons moved wherever Bellroc's sight is at and were used as Bellroc's secondary pair of eyes. They wore a rustic-metallic chest plate carved to look like a nose and mouth, and the mouth would open depending on the position Bellroc was in.

On their head, Bellroc wore a large skull of a horned, bird-like dragon creature, and wore many small bones on their neck. Under those small bones were a golden neck piece that covered almost every inch of their neck. They had big golden circled earrings. Their forearms were wrapped in gauze, and they wore a large beaded bracelet on their left wrist. Bellroc wore black pants with a belt with attachments resembling Fulu, and large golden rings with red wooden attachments placed under the ring were adorned on the side of between their waist and thighs, and walked barefoot.
Bellroc was a hateful and despicable demigod, who was cruel and merciless in their actions. They despised humanity and believed that humans cannot right their wrongdoings, primarily because they saw humanity's corruption.

Nari resembles a mythical being of nature. She is below average in height, having pointy ears and green skin with noticeable 'veins' resembling ivy vines around her neck, except for her face which is pale cream. She has amber eyes with dark green sclerae, green hair with pink blossoms in it worn in an elaborate medieval style, and a braid that reaches the small of her back. She also has antlers or horns that resemble tree branches growing out of her head, and on her body, she wears green and gold leaf-like pieces that appear similar to armor, covering her chest and shoulders and forming an apron around her waist. She walks barefoot. While bound with the Earth Titan, Nari's eyes glow green.

In her human disguise, she wears a white v-neck shirt with black stripes, a green jacket, jeans, and brown boots. She also has a large white Parisian beanie which hides her hair with her tree branch horns sticking out of two holes and pink glasses.
The color of Nari's magic is light forest green with pink petals.Nari was originally part of the Arcane Order and sought to protect the balance of mortals and magical beings.

However, due to her empathetic nature, she witnessed the aftermath of the Killahead battle and felt nothing but the pain, suffering, and destruction her overzealous siblings were inflicting upon Camelot, as well as the magical beings by extension. Thus, Nari concludes that what she and her siblings had done was not worth it, renouncing her loyalties to the Arcane Order and fleeing to Camelot for protection.

She is sweet, but also a little anxious and meek. She is shown to have a curious and innocent side, which is shown when she found wonder in Toby's 'godly powers'.

Merlin is an old wizard with the stereotypical white beard and black eyebrows. He has blue eyes and white hair with a silver skullcap on his head.

His armor is a black suit of knight's armor, complete with a breastplate (the chest area), pauldrons (the shoulder areas), vambraces (the forearm areas), cuisses (the thigh areas), poleyns (the knee areas), greaves (the leg areas), and sabatons (the feet areas) with white trimmings (which glow green when in full power). Underneath the armor, there is a gray inner layer. There is also a white diamond encrusted on his breastplate. However after using most of his magic in order to imprison Morgana at the battle of Killahead Bridge, Merlin's armor including the trimmings, turned entirely green. Although, when Merlin regained his magic, the armor regained its original colors.
The color of Merlin's magic is lime green. Merlin was a wise, yet eccentric wizard. He has a tendency to make sarcastic remarks to the people around him, especially Blinky, and can easily get on the gang's nerves, as well as offend them very often.

There is a dark side to Merlin, an arrogance to him where he believes his many years of experience means that he knows better and that any who disagree with him are just ignorant or too young to understand his jaded views and less than forthcoming methods, as he showed in a very tense heart-to-heart he had with Jim, in whom Merlin saw perhaps a younger and more optimistic version of himself. He claims he once had faith as pure as Jim's, but became jaded and harsh in his views, but also left a great decision in Jim's hands (although it can be debated that he manipulated Jim into doing so). There's also the fact that he has trouble improvising at times when his long-term plans go sideways due to his own failure to foresee certain changes in circumstances, such as Morgana rendering his Staff.
