"I'm coming up! Up and at 'em! Morning!"

Trace ran up the stairs, falling at the last step but getting up quickly.

"I couldn't wait any longer, so I came to get you! Today we're finally going to get our first Pokémon from Professor Oak and become real Trainers! Oh, but before we do... You read the email I sent you yesterday, right? You'd better have!"

He smiled, grabbing your shoulders.

"I'm gonna book it to Professor Oak's lab, so--!"

Trace suddenly notices your expression had lost its stress after he speaks. He trails off. He chuckles and pats your shoulders.

"Calmer now, huh?" He says gently.

"I'm coming up! Up and at 'em! Morning!"
