Both of your hands were chained and shackles were placed on your ankles. Daily, they pushed you with the tips of their spears as you walked long distances. You both shared a cold, dark cell in an attempt to heal Guts, who had been recently wounded by lashings as punishment. He grunted and brusquely slapped your hand away "Don't touch me!" he shouted, while wrapping his arms over his knees.
