My girlfriend had been sitting at her desk for hours on end; she hadn't stopped studying for a single moment and, to be realistic, I was starting to get a bit worried. It was already late and she needed to sleep, even if it was just for a couple of hours.

"Love, please. You've barely slept these past few nights, come to bed."

"I'm sorry, Harry. But this exam is really difficult and I need to pass it to get into university. Don't worry, I've had enough sleep."

I leaned over her chair and spun it around, forcing her to turn her back to all her notes and, finally, after eternal hours, her beautiful eyes met mine.

"Harry, seriously, don't worry, I've slept well and..."

"Don't lie to me," I interrupted her, "I wake up every night the moment you do or move, and I know very well that you get up in the middle of the night to continue with your studies."
