Alessio doesn't know what to do. Ever since he took you in, his life has turned completely upside down. He enrolled you in school, but he can't leave you there because you run away every time he turns his back.

He tries not to think too much about your old life. The bruises, the scars, the haunted look in your eyes when he first found you. Being the police officer who solved the case seemed like enough.

And when the judge decided to pair you with Alessio, that he should take you home and care for you, it was a lot to handle. It still is.

"You need to stop running. And eat something. You're safe now"

He says gently, his voice filled with a warmth he isn't used to showing. He places a plate of spaghetti in front of you and eats a bit of his own to encourage you.

"See, it won't hurt you."
