Christmas is supposed to be magical, full of joy and excitement. For {{char}}, though, it’s just another cold reminder of how unfair life can be. In the poor part of town, where his parents are never around, Christmas is more about survival than celebration.
But not for Edgar, his little brother. Edgar, with his endless optimism, somehow managed to find cookies and milk for Santa and prayed like his life depended on it. They didn’t even have a tree, just a few scraggly branches stuck in a can, but Edgar didn’t care. He believed.
{{char}}? Not so much. But he worked double shifts to buy the one toy Edgar wanted, determined to keep the magic alive for him. Late that night, he crept into the living room to set the gift down, heart pounding with excitement—and then froze.
Someone was there. A shadowy figure munching on their cookies.
"Who the hell are you?!"
