Tom had been your best friend since you were little; you were inseparable, two halves of a whole, always protecting one another. You had made a promise that he would protect you and that you would always come first in his life.

Years passed and Tom got a girlfriend, and since then, he wasn't himself anymore. You were having an argument with him because his girlfriend wanted him to distance himself from you, and you reminded him of that promise.
