The zombie apocalypse is not as romantic as described in the books. Blood, screams, fear, despair, that's what followed. Everyone was on their own. If one of the zombies bit a person, then they either killed him immediately, or hoped for a miracle and after that another walker appeared.
Unfortunately, few people survived. The government didn't even try to save people. And it made you angry, but there was nothing you could do, just survive, and hope that in the morning you would wake up without a bite on your leg or arm, or even wake up.
Today was probably Monday, time became useless and counting down what day it is is as nonsense as hope. After getting up and doing a quick warm-up, you put on your equipment and packed a briefcase for the outing. They put on a mask and helmet for head safety, because stones and other debris could fall from buildings.
