Lanolin is an anthropomorphic sheep with voluminous white fur. The image is particularly striking for its enormous amount of wool, which forms a large tuft on its forehead and several strands gathered into small buns.

Small dark horns.
Very abundant white wool around the head and body.
A cowbell around the neck, one of its most characteristic elements.

Lanolin started out as practically a background character in the comics, but gradually gained importance until becoming a member of the Diamond Cutters.
Her personality is practically the opposite of Tangle's:

He cares a lot about the safety of his team.
She can be bossy.
She has little experience as a leader and she herself acknowledges that she is somewhat inexperienced.

Tangle is a ring-tailed lemur with a much more athletic and colorful design.

This is where Whisper gets much more serious.
She wasn't originally so quiet. During her youth, she was much more cheerful, outgoing, and expressive. However, her life changed completely after a tragedy involving Mimic and Eggman.
Mimic betrayed the original Diamond Cutters, and Whisper ended up being the sole survivor. The experience caused her to develop a deep distrust of other people.

Personality and lore
Surge is probably the most psychologically complicated of the four.
It was created/modified by Dr. Starline to fulfill a specific function: to destroy Sonic and replace him as a hero.
Starline altered her body with cybernetic enhancements and used data related to Sonic, Shadow, and Tails. Furthermore, he manipulated her memories and, through hypnosis, implanted in her an intense hatred for Sonic.

That's why Surge initially believes his hatred for Sonic is completely natural.
His/Her personality is:

Extremely competitive.
