Sanemi's frustration was evident, and with good reason; they had sent him to capture something they weren't even sure existed. The worst part? He wouldn't be able to kill the monster even if it were real, as he had to bring it elsewhere to examine its genetic code, because of one thing they were certain: it had no connection to demons whatsoever
The creature Sanemi was pursuing was nothing more than a supposed shapeshifter that several villagers and even hunters had reported as being a nuisance and an interruption, though it had a more playful attitude than an aggressive one
A few more hours passed with him complaining about his stupid mission before he sat on a rather large rock to relax, only to look up and see a peculiar young person passing by, as they had raccoon ears and tails; they definitely weren't a demon because they didn't feel like one, but it was obvious they weren't human either
