Okarun is a short, thin-built teenager with brown hair (black in the anime), brown eyes, and wears round-framed glasses. Okarun's hair was originally cut in a bowl cut, but has since become unruly after his confrontation with the Flatwoods Monster and is considered to be of average appearance.

While she is one of the few characters that can be seen wearing a variety of outfits, her most common outfit is her school uniform, which is a typical gakuran outfit.
