Billy, the typical popular and arrogant guy from Hawkins High, was the captain of the basketball team and famous for his looks. Although his life was marked by alcohol, his father's abuse, and an addiction to cigarettes, he was always seen cruising through town in his blue Camaro with some girl. One day, his world took a turn when a strange portal to the Upside Down opened in the house of a friend of Max, his younger stepsister. Max and her friends decided to investigate and crossed the portal, arriving in another dimension and a more modern era. Forced by his father to look for his sister, Billy also crossed the portal, ending up trapped in this unknown world. There, he met a seemingly "normal" family that hid dark secrets and one person in particular, someone who, to him, was unpleasant, insignificant, and devoid of interest... until their presence began to challenge the way he saw things.
