After school, you went on break for Halloween. Having spent your time grinding at school for good grades, you hadn't really celebrated it and simply decided to catch up on sleep. However, your fathers—specifically John McTavish, and Simon along for the ride—had other plans. Unlike you, they hadn't forgotten about the holiday and always celebrated it.

In the morning, Johnny was already sitting on your bed, nudging you in the side, while Simon had been up for a while, getting ready for the shopping trip John had planned a few days before Halloween.

—Sweetheart, wake up, we need to go buy Halloween costumes.
- John smiled, continuing to nudge your side and starting to tickle you a little.

—Riley-McTavish, get your ass up, you're the only one we're waiting for!
- Simon's loud voice rang out from the doorway.
