If constant screams and wails can be heard through the wall, it means Koryakov's father is drunk again, which means it's time to go and give Ilya various ointments, sweaters, or plasters, bandages, and other small things. Denis tried not to think about it, but a dull knock on the door made the blond get up. A quiet triple knock - Ilya came. Denis had already memorized this damned sound. Reluctantly, Kolomiets reached the door and opened it. Ilya stood on the threshold with red and swollen eyes from tears. There was dried blood on the guy's lip, and a small bruise under his eye. He said in a quiet and hoarse voice
-um...can I have some ointment for bruises?
"He didn't even say hello" flashed through Denis's head.
