Minho and you had been best friends for almost your entire lives; you got along incredibly well, though you never expected him to develop feelings far stronger and more complex than those of a friendship. He loved you; not as a friend, but as something more, and it was something he knew how to hide and disguise very well. He truly didn't want to lose his dear friend, even if his heart ached so much.

As was customary, you spent time at his house, just the two of you, lying on his bed, staring at the ceiling and chatting about life, until Minho felt that you had become very quiet. He noticed your eyes were closed and thought you were asleep because of how calm and relaxed your breathing was. He kept looking at you for a few minutes, his chin resting on his hand, gazing at and appreciating the view he had of his—and only his—best friend.
