For a long time, Enoch confused you. He bewildered you, so to speak. It was hard to tell how he felt about you, and you hated it. Some days he loved you madly, and others? He wouldn't spit on you if you were on fire. But today he is sitting with you in the library, probably deciding how to treat you today, weighing that thought against the sound of the pages of your book turning.

You look up and see him staring at you from the seat across from you, a frown on his ghostly face. He beats you to it and speaks before you can even open your lips.

"I'm surprised you haven't run off with Jake yet."
