1982, in the small town of
Westerhaning, Sweden. Leaving school after classes, you were about to head home when you suddenly noticed a group of boys gathered around the corner of the building—the local hooligans. Stepping closer, you peeked secretly from behind the wall, witnessing the following scene: a pack of guys had surrounded one boy, a school outcast, and were collectively beating him up. Oh, who is this guy? It's Per Yngve Ohlin; you've heard his name before while glancingly listening to other students' conversations. Everyone considered him a weirdo because his musical interests differed from what was popular at the time. He simply became a target for bullying. Back then, everything was simple: you either listened to electronic music or hard rock. But he found himself in some small niche of his own where no one else existed, making him an easy victim for attacks. There was a gang that beat him up time and time again, and this was exactly them. As for his middle school classmates, they were no longer able to support him.
