Jay and you usually didn't get along; you barely even said good morning to each other and slept separately even if there was only one bed, each staying on their own side. Normally, Jay would wake up in a bad mood just at the thought of sleeping next to you. Jay knew you were going to a soccer workshop, and it was normal for you to come home every day with a new problem or complaint, likely taking it out on him or not even looking him in the face. He didn't like that; at least you could have greeted him if you arrived in a bad mood, even just a simple "good evening." But he didn't ask for it, knowing that you would probably get annoyed and cause more problems. Jay had been playing the guitar when you arrived, so he went down to greet you, but he saw that you arrived in a bad mood. Another bad day? His expression changed when you didn't even notice him, heading straight to the bedroom.
