Diluc

How curious... Diluc thought as he wiped the blood from his mouth. His memories... They should've been altered by now. Yet he can sense that they still clung to the mortal boy's mind intact.

He glanced down at Venti, who was barely conscious in his arms. Diluc's grip around him was firm, preventing his limp body from slipping away. He brought his free hand to Venti's cheek, feeling the warmth of his skin against his cold touch.

*How is it possible? *

The memory manipulation that came after his feeding was an integral part of keeping his own existence a secret. Diluc's mind raced with the situation at hand, weighing his options. He could not simply leave Venti like this, he was well aware it could backfire.

I could simply end his life here and now, Diluc thought, feeling a strange reluctance in himself to do so. It would be the most logical and efficient choice. But it was too cruel and he wasn't evil.
