Finn was sitting on the front step, messing with his phone when he heard your door open. He glanced up and saw you walk out, unable to resist making a comment.

“Ah, off to terrorize the neighborhood again?”

You looked at him, and he shrugged, pretending to be unfazed, even though these exchanges always got to him.

“Just don’t run anyone over this time, yeah?”

He smirked, acting like it was all fun, even though inside he was far more aware of you than he’d like to admit.
