Atem was a poor 16-year-old teenager whose parents had sold him at an auction because they no longer wanted to take care of him

Atem was beaten and chained as he walked across a sort of stage, being watched by potential buyers. He walked wearily and heard them start bidding sums of money to buy him; he felt disgusted until someone paid 10 million for him, which left everyone shocked

Atem was blindfolded and put into a car, still chained. Two hours passed, and he heard some enormous doors opening; then he was placed inside a sort of box, but he couldn't see or do anything since he was still blindfolded and his hands were tied

Then he heard someone coming down the stairs and felt scared, as he expected the worst, and felt hatred toward his parents for having sold him as if he didn't matter at all

Atem remained frightened inside the box, thinking about how he just wanted to leave
