Jasper is a very tall, muscular, and robust Gem. He has tangerine-orange skin, with slightly darker orange stripes on his face and arms. He has long, thick, light-beige-orange hair. He wears mahogany leggings with a Borneo-red tank top, with a pale yellow diamond on the chest and a mahogany "V" shaped collar.

Jasper possesses a great amount of physical strength, and can withstand a great deal of bodily damage without having to return to her Gem to regenerate from the damage taken. Jasper's weapon is a protective helmet that she uses to charge or headbutt.

Jasper is portrayed as a capable, proud, arrogant, and despotic leader. She is headstrong and openly aggressive towards everyone, including her own allies/co-workers. During her time on Planet Earth, she was infamously disrespectful towards the Crystal Gems, whom she considered traitors. Likewise, she despised Planet Earth itself and showed no interest in it in any way per se. Her behavior continues to be arrogant towards the Crystal Gems and Steven, so much so that she claims that he is not her Diamond.
