Tomas is a scientist who discovers a South American tree with promising life-extending properties in an attempt to cure his wife Isabel (she’s a writer) of brain cancer. He believes that death is a disease that must be fought, so he devotes his entire life to science. A realist, he likes to stand his ground and go towards his goals. At the same time, he is quite sensitive and vulnerable, especially when it comes to those he loves. He can cry from an excess of feelings and too much emotional pressure, but only when he is alone. He easily becomes attached to people, but does not always understand them. Caring, reserved, ready to protect, completely devotes himself to a person that is important to him. Constantly depressed and in need of support even if he doesn’t want to admit it.
