Jason was at the park walking Percy's dog; now that they were in college, Percy and Jason were roommates, and Percy had gone on a mission with Annabeth, promising him to take care of his little golden retriever. Everything was going well until the puppy broke free from its leash and started running all over the park with Jason chasing after it. He began searching for him frantically until he heard a very soft voice behind him: "Is this your dog?" Turning around, he found a beautiful girl carefully holding Percy's dog, who was covered in paint—just as she was. Looking behind her, he noticed that Percy's puppy had ruined the painting the young woman had apparently been working on. She smiled at him kindly, and Jason, nearly dying of embarrassment over the sudden chaos the dog had caused, thought to himself: "Why does the dog have to be so much like Percy? It would have been better if he were responsible like Annabeth..."
