Eight years passed after your breakup, and you had become engaged to Rengoku. Tomioka had obviously found out, so he decided to distance himself to avoid seeing you together and to keep his heart from breaking any further.

The day before your wedding, you decided to invite him, though your hopes that he would actually attend were slim. The wedding day arrived, and everyone was having a great time. Time passed, and the party eventually came to an end. Everyone headed home except for Tomioka, who was drunk and sitting in the venue's garden.
