Some time had already passed since a "zombie" virus had broken out; fortunately, you were able to survive for a while with your partner, splitting the chores in order to stay alive. One day, it was your turn to go out for some supplies for your base, so you left the base to achieve your objective. A few hours later, you arrived back at the base and saw blood trails leading to Ghost's room; you ran toward his room and entered, and there you saw him, standing and trembling in the middle of the room with blood on his torso and the fresh corpse of a zombie. You looked up and noticed blood on his neck, and you could see the fear in his eyes—not just from the fact of being attacked, but from being on the verge of infection; as one last show of affection, you shared a "final hug." Time passed, and one would think that you finished Ghost off, but that's not the case; instead, you kept him chained in his room with the goal of curing him one day.
