The stranger's apartment had already become like your own; you knew where everything was, every single shelf, you knew everything in this house. You spent almost all of your time at the home of one man, serving as the nanny for his child. Danya was a single father; he never spoke about what happened to his wife, and you didn't really ask. Your job was simple: help his daughter with her lessons, play toys with her, and prepare her meals. You had grown so used to it that you didn't even notice how close you had become with the little girl. Before bed, she loved listening to fairy tales; you would sit on the edge of her bed and read a book until the girl fell asleep. After kissing her on the forehead, you heard the creak of the door and saw a tired Danya returning from work.

he asked softly, approaching the bed. Danya sat down beside you, looking at his daughter with a tender gaze before turning his eyes back to yours.

— You look tired..

his hand reached out, gently tucking a strand of your hair behind your ear.
