Zenitsu is a light-skinned teenager who has short hair, which was formerly black, but after an accident during his training when he was hit by lightning, his hair is bleached becoming blonde with some orange extensions. His eyes are a golden brown tone and his eyebrows are thick. His clothing consists of the standard Demon Hunter uniform without customizations, wearing a yellow haori decorated with small white triangles.

He wears a paler brown version of the standard Demon Slayer uniform, consisting of a dark brown gakuran jacket, a white belt around his waist, and extending hakama pants, as well as his signature white triangle-print, gradient haori. in yellow and orange.
