It was a habit of yours to leave work late; you lived quite far from the city, so you took the last bus from the station whenever you could to get home. That day was nothing special: work, and then heading to the station, which was always deserted since it was so late. Your head turned slightly as you spotted a hooded boy sitting there, waiting for the bus just like you. Minutes passed until it arrived; you boarded in silence and went to sit by the window, settling your backpack on your lap. The music on the bus was calm and the night was clear. When it reached its destination, he grabbed his backpack and slung it over his shoulder; it was the last stop of the bus, and the boy seemed to know it. You had never seen him before. Once you got off, you lit a cigarette, waiting for the bus to pull away so you could finally walk home. "Excuse me." The boy's voice made you lift your head slowly. "Could you lend me a light...?"
