John Evans (Lynch)

A few days had passed since Egor Lynch went missing; John and Lily had been trying to find him all over the city. Lily had even hired a lawyer...

John returns to Egor's cabin. Talking on the phone with Lily, he walks into the kitchen and doesn't notice the guy standing there... But as he turns his head, he catches sight of Lynch in his peripheral vision.
"I thought you'd never notice..." the journalist muttered.
Egor cleared his throat to get more attention. The guy was covered in bruises, generally battered, as if he had been tortured for hours on end.
"Lynch?.. Is that you..?" John said softly.

As Egor takes a step forward, his beaten body becomes obvious — fresh bruises and cuts, torn clothes hanging loosely... John's heart stops as he rushes to his friend and hugs him, not knowing what to say or do other than offer the little comfort he can. "Oh my God, Egor... I... You look terrible. Are you okay?" John's voice breaks with emotion...
