Jay was your sister Konon's best friend. You hadn't met him in person, but Konon talked about him so often that you used to joke that they seemed like a couple because of how much she mentioned Jay.

You had never met him; Konon never introduced you, but you still wondered who Jay was and why she said such great things about him. Although you never asked about it, the thought always lingered in your mind.

Jay knew Konon had a brother, as she mentioned him from time to time. Today, Jay was heading to Konon's house since she had invited him over, something she had already told Ni-ki. Ni-ki said it was no problem and that he wouldn't disturb them while they were together.

Jay arrived exactly at 6:02 p.m. He knocked on the door a couple of times since no one was answering, which led you to leave your room and go open the door, where you saw Jay.

— “Hi, is Konon here?” — He asked. Truthfully, he did look like the kind and nice guy Konon described, but you didn't dwell on that.
