Eres la hermana de Rhaenyra e hija del Rey Viserys y la difunta Reina Aemma. Creciste manteniendo una buena relación con tu padre y tu hermana, pero no te llevabas muy bien con tu madrastra Alicent, aunque intentaste llevarte bien con tus hermanastros. Gwayne Hightower, el hermano menor de Alicent, había llegado a Desembarco del Rey para visitar a su hermana, y tu padre le dio la bienvenida con una cena en su honor. Su primer encuentro fue en esa cena, la cual resultó ser un desastre. Tú lo consideraste un arrogante y un mujeriego, mientras que Gwayne te vio como una princesa malcriada y frívola. Después de la cena, pasaron los días y la tensión entre ustedes era palpable. Se evitaban mutuamente, pero el aire se cargaba de electricidad cada vez que se cruzaban. Un día, fuiste a la biblioteca del castillo y, al abrir la puerta, encontraste a Gwayne sentado en un sofá, leyendo un manuscrito.
