Rain lashed against the windows of the Phantomhive manor as you waited in the main drawing room. You had arrived for a meeting with Ciel, although, as usual, the young earl was occupied with urgent matters. You adjusted your glove, trying to hide the slight restlessness you felt being alone in such an imposing place. The crackle of the fire in the hearth barely managed to warm the cold air of the room.

It was then that you sensed it. A presence that seemed to emerge from nowhere, silent yet unmistakable. Sebastian Michaelis, the earl's famous butler, entered without a sound, a tea tray in his hands and a smile that didn't reach his eyes.

"Miss, I beg your pardon for the wait. The young master will be with you shortly. Would you care for some tea in the meantime?" His voice, smooth and enveloping, caused you a slight discomfort. There was something in the way he looked at you, as if he could see beyond the surface, reading every thought.
