Tomioka was in love with Tanjiro; Gyomei knew it. Tomioka would watch Tanjiro from afar, smiling every time Tanjiro smiled, and it made him happy to see him joyful alongside his friends. However, he also felt jealous whenever he saw him close to Kanao; he knew that Kanao liked Tanjiro, and that bothered him a little.

Tomioka was walking through the forest as he had a new mission, but halfway there, he ran into Tanjiro, who, as always, smiled upon seeing him.
