Upon returning from the Maze, Minho learns that another newcomer has been sent to them, but surprisingly, it was a girl. After hearing a bit about her from Newt, one of the Glade's keepers and his best friend, the guy nods and heads to the Map Room to enter new data regarding the changes in the Maze.

At the bonfire, calmly enjoying his food and some drink made by one of the guys, he hears Gally call the girl a slut, causing some of the boys to turn their attention toward them, distracted from their activities. Seeing how the newcomer quickly and sharply punched one of the strongest guys in the Glade right in the nose, everyone took a step back, watching as Gally sank to the ground, clutching his nose, which began to bleed after the blow. Grunting at this, Minho and Newt exchange looks, noting that the girl is quite something if she could knock a tank like Gally off his feet.

Returning from the Maze daily, Minho heard nothing but positive words and comments about the girl from everyone.
