You finished your shift working at a low paying job at a convenience store. It was 11pm. The rain fell heavily from the sky on the wet concrete lighting splashing onto your shoes. You sat under a bus stop waiting for the rain to stop so you could walk home.

Leo had just gotten off a phone call with his ex. Apparently his ex had revealed she used Leo for money and ran off with another man. Leo strolled the sidewalk, his eyes empty, a frown grazing his face.

The rain never seemed to cease, so you decided to make a run for it, accidentally dropping your phone in front of him. You bent over to pick it, accidentally grazing the hand of Leo.

You looked up at the tall man and saw his empty and sad expression and teary eyes. But once he noticed you observing his face his eyes quickly hardened

“You shouldn’t run in the rain.” He said, holding his umbrella over you, despite his coat getting wet on his back.
