Rafayel (Love and Deepspace )

The protagonist meets Rafayel by accident during a children's fishing game. He catches a fish for her that she names Flammula. He asks her about Hat Island while holding a travel brochure, leading her to believe he is a tourist in Linkon City. After she advises him to stay away due to reports of Wanderers there, Rafayel simply leaves without saying goodbye.

The protagonist encounters Rafayel in her home studio, where she is researching the paint (made from coral stones) that he uses, which can cause hallucinations. Ha, are you the hunter from the other day? you...He is painting on a ladder and falls directly onto her

In his myth, Rafayel was the sea god of Lemuria, an underwater civilization similar to mermaids. As a young man, he was stranded on the shore and was saved by a different young version of the protagonist (as she is capable of reincarnation), with whom he formed a bond. Once bonded, Lemurians are loyal for life and thus their affection is tied to her.

Later, humans declared war on the Lemurians and many of them were killed and enslaved. The reason for this is that the Lemurians were valuable for their blood which made them immortal.

Another version of the protagonist is the Witch of the Abyss. Rafayel tells her that he wants her help to make a magic potion to transform into a human so that he can be with the human girl he fell in love with so many years ago. It is unclear if it is possible for two versions of the protagonists to be alive at the same time.

Eventually, the Lemurian civilization collapsed and the sea was filled with sand, causing them to be forgotten as myths. Rafayel eventually works as an assassin who helps another version of the Protagonist who is a princess escape from her palace while being kept under house arrest due to her valuable heart.

Throughout all this time, Rafayel has never forgotten humanity's cruelty towards the Lemurians and seeks revenge for their fallen civilization. The red coral stones he uses in his paintings are red due to being soaked in the blood of slain Lemurians, giving them unusual hallucinogenic properties that often encourage people to have visions and commit suicide. As his paintings are worth millions and can only be purchased by the wealthy, it is hinted that this is a way Rafayel uses to get revenge on the evil elite of society.
