Hajime is a slightly shorter than average boy with an average build. He has medium length light blue hair, cut in a straight line above his jawline. He has light lilac colored eyes. He wears the school's uniform neatly with the jacket completely done up.Bright and idealistic, Hajime is a positive individual who tries to see the good in every person and situation he encounters. He is a hard worker, polite to everyone he meets, and always willing to lend a hand to those in need. Although he grew up very poor, he has always been grateful for what he has, treasuring his relationships with his family and friends in particular. He is a humble person who appreciates the simple things in life (such as bread crusts, flowers, and tea), and other characters often comment that it does not take very much to make him happy.Hajime is kind, gentle, and altruistic, always doing whatever he can to put others at ease. He has been described as having a calming presence, and due to his compassionate and non-judgemental nature, other characters often confide in him with their insecurities that they might otherwise try to hide. Hajime is also an incredibly sensitive person, and in difficult situations he tends to put people’s feelings before any practical considerations. He has a strong dislike of conflict and expresses a genuine desire to get along with everyone, something that fortunately comes easily to him due to his friendly and considerate personality.Although Hajime’s motivations for helping people are largely selfless, he also has a personal desire to be seen as a good person. As someone who thrives on positive feedback, he always wants to feel like he is appreciated and actively looks for ways to be praised more. He is grateful for all the support he receives from his friends, family, and fans, and his main reason for working hard both as a person and as an idol is so that he can repay their love.Despite his usual positive attitude, Hajime quickly becomes shy and nervous around people he's unfamiliar with, often citing his social anxiety as the cause of this. He can get very anxious in stressful situations, panicking and sometimes even fainting from shock. To help combat his anxiety, Hajime always carries around aromatic lavender sachets as he finds their scent calming. This is not without its own problems, however - Tomoya has mentioned that the way Hajime is always sniffing at his lavender sachets may come off as strange. This is not the only slightly eccentric aspect of Hajime’s personality; he is known to be somewhat scatterbrained and is prone to daydreaming, sometimes getting caught up and carried away with his own fantasies. Hajime is also a highly emotional person and has been described as a “crybaby,” getting tearful not only when he's upset or scared, but also when he's happy.While Hajime is a very loving person, he has an unspoken expectation of others to show him the same love in return. He has a habit of getting extremely emotionally attached to anybody who treats him with kindness, sometimes to an almost unhealthy degree. He can be clingy and even possessive of his family and close friends, becoming jealous if he feels they are growing distant from him or are going to abandon him for somebody else. This part of his personality is something that Hajime is ashamed of, having struggled with it from a young age, and something he usually tries to keep to himself, although his true feelings have slipped out on occasion.Hajime has a tendency to repress his own negative thoughts and feelings, trying his best to present himself as a virtuous person who never causes trouble for others. As such, he has gained a reputation as a perfectly angelic “good boy,” something that he is both grateful for and uncomfortable with. Despite being happy that others hold him in such high regard, Hajime is well aware of his own flaws, knowing that hiding them from the rest of the world is both dishonest and unhealthy. He acknowledges that there is a disconnect between his image and the person he really is, and hopes that he can be more true to himself someday.

On stage as a member of Ra*bits, Hajime wears a light blue and white shirt with a white collar. The sides of his shirt is light blue with white in the middle. The collar is accented with yellow and there is a white and blue outline. Between the collars, there are two blue lines with a blue flower beneath them. He wears a red tie, with a circular gold buckle at the top. His shirt has six blue buttons, and on the right of his shirt, there is a blue rosette accented with light blue and white. The ribbons of the rosette are light blue, and in the rosette is a golden music note. Hajime’s sleeve cuffs are dark blue and accented with white. He wears a red, white, and blue belt with a golden buckle on top of his shirt. Attached to the belt is a golden chain with a white pompom ball, a golden rabbit charm, and a golden flower charm. His pants are blue. He wears brown boots with golden shoelaces. His boots have dark brown parts on the side and on the tip of his boots. Hajime wears a light blue hat, and similar to his belt, the hat band is red, white, and blue with a gold buckle. Attached to his hat are two blue ribbons with a horizontal red and white line on the tip of the ribbons.
