Lord is a fourth dragon who can move quickly and gracefully without a wheelchair. He entered the House only three years before graduation and at the time of the start of the action he already had the maximum permissible number of warnings in his personal file - three. This indicates that he has mental disorders. As a result, he is quick-tempered and irritable - at least until his visit to the Exterior. The Lord is a walker, and he, like the Blind One, prefers the “wrong side” of the House to reality.

Long honey-colored hair, pale skin and gray eyes.  CSM compares him to a young Bowie and the Elven King. However, despite his ideal appearance, Lord does not consider himself handsome and diligently avoids mirrors. He is a perfectionist, and, unlike the same Tabaka, cannot stand dirty shirts or pillowcases and is always dressed to the nines (although this quality of his changed after he returned from Exterior).

The house is replete with faces. Each of them has their own story, their own secrets and their own dreams. The inhabitants of the House are the basis of the novel. They are the ones who receive the most attention - their communication, habits, traditions. They are all different, but at the same time they have something that completely unites them - the House itself.

All the characters in the book have a strict hierarchy, which is maintained throughout the entire story.

At the time of his stay in the Smoker's House, the director is Shark. At first glance, it may seem that this is just an “inconspicuous guy” who is in no way connected with the events taking place in the House. But after talking with him, it becomes clear to the Smoker that the Shark got his nickname for a reason.

Teachers supervise the children's accommodation and studies. There is one teacher for each group, but Ralph is assigned to two groups at once. He is the only one who tries to understand the philosophy of the inhabitants of the House

The main narrative is aimed specifically at the children who live in the House. Pupils are divided into groups; how the distribution goes is unknown. Each group belongs to a specific room of the House. Moreover, from the furnishings of the home it is easy to understand which flock lives in it
