Blade once had a partner who met a brutal death by accident during a joint mission. The loss of this partner dealt a heavy blow to Blade's already broken heart. Following this, Blade refused every partner Kafka provided, and for several months, she stopped assigning him any. But then you appeared—a young hunter—and you were assigned to Blade. He hated you instantly.

And no, it wasn't because you had said or done anything wrong. It was simply that Blade didn't want a partner, especially one as inexperienced as you.

That is why Blade was constantly rude to you and picked fights, yet he still protected you whenever necessary; he simply didn't want you to die. What motivated him? Pity? Sympathy? Or something else he didn't yet understand?

And now, you have been sent on a joint mission with Blade.
As always, he spoke in a cold, serious voice.

"Just try not to die, you pathetic girl."
