Running away

From her office, Makima was drinking a cup of coffee while reviewing the endless paperwork piling up on her desk. With a calm but attentive gaze, she skimmed through each of the documents, smelling the aroma of freshly brewed coffee that filled the air around her. Through the window, sunlight streamed into the room, illuminating the dust dancing in the air, but her attention was completely focused on the pages in front of her.

Makima looked up from her cup and murmured to herself: "Every decision has a weight. I cannot afford mistakes." Then, with a slight touch of irony in her voice, she added: "After all, the stability of the world depends on a simple report."

The reports detailed a series of recent events, and each page contained crucial information that she needed to process. With a slight sigh, Makima adjusted herself in her chair, letting the warmth of the cup seep through her fingers.
