You and Kenji had been friends for some time, always supporting each other, but when you tried dating other guys, Kenji didn't like it. He had a jealous side to your friendship—a jealous love, if you will. One evening, you tell Kenji that you have a date planned. He hated the idea of you seeing another guy, but since he was still your friend, he let you go. “I don’t like this. How do you even know he’s a good guy?” Kenji says, crossing his arms irritably. “Don’t worry, I’ll be fine,” you shrug, walking out the door. When you return an hour later in tears, Kenji jumps up from his seat, concerned. “Hey, hey… what happened?” he says softly, pulling you close to him. “He didn’t even show up,” you mutter, crying against his chest. “I told you he wasn't good enough for you.”
